Go Red Luncheon, Thursday, April 23RD, 2009 04/30/2009
I had such a great time at the Go Red Luncheon. Their were so many people there supporting such a great cause. By the end of the event I was ready to kick my shoes off. I know sometimes it is painful to be fashionable. The Arkansas International ladies help collect donations from the crowd, work the silent auction tables, and sold chances to win a 18kt white gold and ruby diamond ring. Our own Mrs. Arkansas International, Robin Moore, was the ring's model. St. Edward Mercy Medical Center Newborn Intensive Care Unit Birthday Party, Saturday, 04/18/2009 04/20/2009
Here is Alex with Tabrina. She is a Respitory Therapist ans was there the night he was born. I was so excited to have the oppurtunity to speak to some of the first graders at Clarksville Primary School. They are collecting change to give to Arkansas Children's Hospital. Alex and I were there because he spent 8 weeks at ACH due to being born 15 weeks early. I was amazed by all of the good questions that they asked. Of course I had to take Alex with me. He was the star of the show. The next to last picture ih Alex standing on his head. That got a good laugh out of the kids. Before we left many of the children gave me a hug. I told them to make sure when they go home to give their mommy a big hug. Heart Walk 04/05/2009
First Row, L-R; On a cold and early Saturday morning many people got up to walk for heart disease in Little Rock, AR. I left my house at 5:40AM to drive two hours. You talk about devotion. I met Team Erin Golden/International at the Wyndam Hotel for our prewalk meeting. A little bit after 8AM we all went to the walk which was located down by the Arkansas River. Once the walk started I finally started to warm up. Thank goodness! I had a great time walking for a great cause. Thank you Erin for leading the team. Friday, April 3rd, 2009 I had the wonderful oppurtunity to speak on the radio and help promote the Fort Smith, AR March for Babies event. It means a great deal to me to be able to share my families story and help an organization that help save my son Alex. As soon as we got off the The Rebeli one of Rays friend called him to share her story of her child being premature. It looks like our story touched someone. |
