I had such a great time walking in honor of my son Alex. He was born 15 weeks early and weighed 1 pound 9 ounces. Team Baby Alex was able to raise $788.00 for the March of Dimes, March for Babies event.
Thank you Tressa Horton, Miss Arkansas International 2009 who came and walked with us.
Our Team won "Best Team T-Shirt" and I was awarded "Top Volunteer" along with Ada Floyd.
This event raised over $26,000.00 and had over 160 walkers. On this day many other cities across the nation held a March for Babies event.
Friday, April 3rd, 2009 I had the wonderful oppurtunity to speak on the radio and help promote the Fort Smith, AR March for Babies event. It means a great deal to me to be able to share my families story and help an organization that help save my son Alex. As soon as we got off the The Rebeli one of Rays friend called him to share her story of her child being premature. It looks like our story touched someone.
Hello. As you might be aware, our family has been touched by the March of Dimes mission to prevent birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. That’s why we have formed a Family Team to raise money and participate in March for Babies. Please join us in our fundraising efforts today by sponsoring our event.
Contributing to our team online is fast, easy and secure. You can donate directly from my personal webpage with a credit/debit card or PayPal. If you prefer, I can also accept cash or check. Just click the appropriate box on my webpage.
Our family knows firsthand the challenges associated with prematurity. It is important to find out why premature birth happens and what can be done to prevent it. By raising money, ongoing research to answer these critical questions is funded. When you support our Family Team, you show you care and you give hope for defeating premature birth and other threats to babies.
Please join us and millions of compassionate people across the country who support March for Babies each year. We need your help. Visit my webpage and sponsor our event! www.marchforbabies.org/teams/633428
With your support, there’s hope.
Thank You!
